بوسه

Sin laughed within his two eyes.

در دو چشمش گناه می خندید

Moonlight laughed upon his face.

بر رخش نور ماه می خندید

In the passageway of those silent lips,

در گذرگاه آن لبان خموش

an unprotected flame laughed.

شعله یی بی پناه می خندید

Ashamed and full of a mute desire,

شرمناک و پر از نیازی گنگ

with a gaze which bore the colour of intoxication,

با نگاهی که رنگ مستی داشت

I looked into his two eyes, and he said,

در دو چشمش نگاه کردم و گفت

“One must gather a harvest from love.”

باید از عشق حاصلی برداشت

A shadow bent over a shadow,

سایه یی روی سایه یی خم شد

in the secret-nurturing hiding place of night.

در نهانگاه رازپرور شب

A breath glided across a cheek.

نفسی روی گونه یی لغزید

A kiss flamed between two lips.

بوسه یی شعله زد میان دو لب
