شانه های تو

like hard and proud rocks.

همچو صخره های سخت و پر غرور

Upon this slope, the wave of my hair

موج گیسوان من در این نشیب

crawls like a waterfall of light.

سینه میکشد چو آبشار نور

like the walls of an enormous fortress.

چون حصار های قلعه ای عظیم

The dance of the strands of my hair upon them

رقص رشته های گیسوان من بر آن

is like the dance of willow branches in the hand of the breeze.

همچو رقص شاخه های بید در کف نسیم

شانه های تو

iron towers,

برجهای آهنین

a marvellous manifestation of blood and life,

جلوه شگرف خون و زندگی

their colour the colour of a copper brazier.

رنگ آن به رنگ مجمری مسین

In the silence of the temple of desire,

در سکوت معبد هوس

I have lain restlessly beside your body.

خفته ام کنار پیکر تو بی قرار

The marks of my kisses upon your shoulders

جای بوسه های من بر روی شانه هات

are like the marks of a snake's fiery sting.

همچو جای نیش آتشین مار

in the roar of the hot, splendid sun,

در خروش آفتاب داغ پر شکوه

beneath the warm and bright beads of sweat,

زیر دانه های گرم و روشن عرق

shine like the summits of mountains.

برق می زند چو قله های کوه

the sanctuary of my eyes full of desire.

قبله گاه دیدگان پر نیاز من
