برخورد

A light descended to the earth:

نوری به زمین فرود آمد:

I saw two footprints upon the desert's sands.

دو جا پا بر شن‌های بیابان دیدم.

Where had it come from?

از کجا آمده بود؟

Where was it going?

به کجا می‌رفت؟

Only two footprints could be seen.

تنها دو جا پا دیده می‌شد.

Perhaps an error had set foot upon the earth.

شاید خطایی پا به زمین نهاده بود.

Suddenly the footprints set out.

ناگهان جاپاها به راه افتادند.

Light crept along with them.

روشنی همراهشان می‌خزید.

The footprints disappeared.

جاپاها گم شدند.

I looked at myself from the front:

خود را از روبرو تماشا کردم:

a hollow had filled with death.

گودالی از مرگ پر شده بود.

And I set out within my own dead self.

و من در مرده خود به راه افتادم.

I heard my footsteps from a distant road.

صدای پایم را از راه دوری می شنید م

Perhaps I was crossing a desert.

شاید از بیابانی می گذشتم.

A lost expectation was with me.

انتظاری گمشده با من بود.

Suddenly a light descended into my dead self,

ناگهان نوری در مرده‌ام فرود آمد

and I came alive in an anxiety:

و من در اضطر ابی زنده شدم:

two footprints filled my existence.

دو جاپا هستی‌ام را پرکرد.

Where had it come from?

از کجا آمده بود؟

Where was it going?

به کجا می‌رفت؟

Only two footprints could be seen.

تنها دو جا پا دیده می‌شد.
