01

I open the window to the width of the world:

02

the road is empty. The tree is laden with night.

03

The stalk does not tremble. Water is tired of going: you are absent. There is no swaying.

04

You are absent, and throbbing is a whirlpool.

05

You are absent, and the roar of rivers says nothing, and the valleys cannot be read.

06

You come: night rises from faces, mystery flies from existence.

07

You go: the meadow darkens, the spring's bubbling breaks.

08

You close your eyes: obscurity winds around the grass.

09

Your face blows like a breeze, and the water awakens.

10

You pass, and the mirror breathes.

11

The road is empty. You will not return. And my eyes do not await you.

12

At dawn, the reapers arrive along the road ahead: they have seen the ripeness of my ears of grain

13

in a dream.
