Persian audio selected /
The moon has shone upon the plate of cucumber, upon the water jug's lip.
The stones are not visible, the little flowers are not visible.
Shadows from afar, like water's solitude, like God's song, are visible.
Let me remember tomorrow to go to Hasan's garden, buy greengages and apricots.
Let me remember tomorrow, beside the reservoir, to sketch the goats,
Let me remember: every butterfly that falls into water, quickly take it out.
Let me remember to do nothing that offends the law of the earth.
Let me remember tomorrow, beside the stream, to wash my towel too with soapwort.
