01

There is still time before the earth's snow melts.

02

There is still time before all these upside-down lotuses of umbrellas close.

03

The tree is unfinished.

04

Beneath the snow is the wish of paper to swim in the wind,

05

and the wet gleam of insects' eyes,

06

and the rise of a frog's head from the horizon of understanding life.

07

There is still time before our tray fills with talk of samosas and the holiday.

08

In an air where neither the growth of a stalk has resonance,

09

nor a fairy's song arrives through an opening in the constellation of snow,

10

I thirst for murmuring.

11

There is still time before the bird raises its voice upon Esfand's delirious wall.

12

Then what shall I do,

13

I who, in the year's barest season without trilling,

14

thirst for murmuring?

15

It is better that I rise,

16

take up color,

17

and draw a bird upon my solitude.
