01

Call me.

02

Your voice is good.

03

Your voice is the green life of that strange plant

04

that grows at the end of sorrow's intimacy.

05

In the dimensions of this silent evening,

06

I am lonelier than the taste of song within the perception of a lane.

07

Come, let me tell you how great my solitude is.

08

And my solitude did not foresee the night attack of your volume.

09

And this is love's nature.

10

There is no one.

11

Come, let us steal life, then

12

divide it between two meetings.

13

Come, together let us understand something of stone's state.

14

Come, let us see things sooner.

15

Look, the fountain's hands upon the pool's clock face

16

turn time into roundness.

17

Come, melt like a word in the line of my silence.

18

Come, melt love's luminous mass in my palm.

19

Warm me.

20

(And once, too, in Kashan's desert, the sky clouded,

21

and a hard rain began,

22

and I grew cold. Then behind a stone,

23

the poppy's hearth warmed me.)

24

In these lanes that are dark,

25

I fear the product of doubt and a match.

26

I fear the century's concrete surface.

27

Come, so I may not fear the cities whose black soil is the cranes' pasture.

28

Open me like a door to the pear's descent in this age of steel's

29

ascent.

30

Put me to sleep beneath a branch far from the night of metals' friction.

31

If the discoverer of morning's mine arrives, call me.

32

And I shall awaken in the dawn of a jasmine flower from behind your fingers.

33

And then,

34

tell of the bombs that fell while I slept.

35

Tell of the cheeks that grew wet while I slept.

36

Say how many ducks flew from the sea.

37

In that turmoil when the armored wheel passed over the child's

38

dream,

داشت

39

what sense of ease did the canary tie the yellow thread of its song to?

40

Say what innocent goods arrived in the harbors.

41

What science understood the positive music of gunpowder's smell?

42

What perception of bread's unknown taste seeped into the palate of the mission?

43

And then, like a faith warmed by the shining of the ‘Equator,’

44

I shall seat you at the beginning of a garden.
