می‌خواند.

پاییز روی وحدت دیوار

comes apart.

The pleasant behavior of sunlight

رفتار آفتاب مفرح

startles the volume of decay

حجم فساد را

from sleep:

از خواب می پراند:

an apple

یک سیب

in the basket's latticed opportunity

در فرصت مشبک زنبیل

rots.

می‌پوسد.

A feeling like the estrangement of things

حسی شبیه غربت اشیا

passes over the eyelid.

از روی پلک می‌گذرد.

Between the tree and the green second,

بین درخت و ثانیه سبز

the repetition of azure

تکرار لاجورد

mingles with the longing for speech.

با حسرت کلام می‌آمیزد.

But,

اما

O sanctity of the paper's whiteness!

ای حرمت سپیدی کاغذ!

Our letters' pulse

نبض حروف ما

practices in ink's absence.

در غیبت مرکب مشاق می‌زند.

In the mind of the present, form's attraction

در ذهن حال. جاذب شکل

is lost.

از دست می رو د.

One must close the book.

باید کتاب را بست.

One must rise,

باید بلند شد

walk along time's length,

در امتداد وقت قدم زد.

look at the flower,

گل را نگاه کرد

hear obscurity.

ابهام را شنید.

One must run to the end of being.

باید دوید تا ته بودن.

One must go toward the scent of annihilation's earth.

باید به بوی خاک فنا رفت.

One must reach the meeting place of tree and God.

باید به ملتقای درخت و خدا رسید.

One must sit,

باید نشست

close to unfolding,

نزدیک انبساط

somewhere between selflessness and discovery.

جایی میان بیخودی و کشف.
